How to cut your Netflix and Spotify bill in the UK (October 2026)
Netflix UK prices right now
Netflix raised UK prices on 3 September 2026. Standard with adverts is now £7.99 a month, Standard is £13.99 and Premium is £20.99. An extra member costs £5.99 with adverts or £6.99 without. Standard with adverts was £5.99 before, so that plan rose the most in percentage terms.
Free ways to spend less
- Switch to the ad plan if you can live with adverts. It is the cheapest official Netflix option.
- Pause or cancel in months when you are not watching. You can rejoin any time.
- Rotate services. Pick one big show, watch it, then move on.
- Check whether your mobile, broadband or bank offers a streaming perk. Some do.
- Check your Spotify plan. If several people at one address use it, a Duo or Family plan usually costs less per person than separate Individual plans. Check current prices on Spotify's own site.
- Audit your subscriptions every few months and cancel anything you have not used.
Where Subscriptions For Less fits
Subscriptions For Less offers private Netflix and Spotify accounts for UK customers, with plans from £7 to £18 a month and savings of up to 60% compared with paying list price. We are an independent service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Netflix or Spotify.
Before you buy anything, compare the total monthly cost with the free options above. If the free options already cover you, you do not need us. If you want to keep both services and pay less, have a look at the plans on subscriptionsforless.com.
Questions to ask any streaming reseller
- Who runs the service, and how do I contact them?
- How quickly will I be set up? (We aim for within 24 hours.)
- What happens if something stops working?
- Can I cancel, and how?
- Is the seller clear that it is not Netflix or Spotify?
